Course 405: Microsoft C#.NET

Return to Course Descriptions and Curriculums

Course Description:

Programming is a skill. Learning to program is equivalent to learning a foreign language. The rewards of highly skilled programmers can be substantial since the demand for talented programmers is at an all-time high. It is no exaggeration to describe the C# language and its associated environment, the .NET Framework, as the most important new technology for developers in many years. .NET provides a new environment within which you can develop almost any Windows-based or webbased application, while C# is a new programming language designed specifically to work with .NET.

Course Objectives:

- Program in the objectoriented C# language

-  Manipulate XML using C #

Prerequisites for the Course:

Familiarity with relational databases is helpful, and students should have taken the ADO.NET, XML.NET, ASP.NET and Web Design courses.
